Tahoe Donner is a beautiful, upscale community located in the mountains near Donner Lake and to the west of the town of Truckee. Home prices vary, depending on the size of the property and the style of house, making the community available to nearly everyone seriously considering real estate in Lake Tahoe. Activities Available

Golfers enjoy the beautiful 18-hole, par 72 mountain golf course located nearby on 200 acres with forest, hills and streams. The Alder Campground, with its tent and RV sites, is available for those who enjoy camping in the great outdoors.

Children who live in Tahoe Donner have summer day camp to look forward to all year long. Those from 3-years-old to 12-years-old learn about the beauty of nature in the Sierra Mountains. They get to participate in special arts and crafts projects and other activities, too.

Weather

The Tahoe Donner community is known for its continental climate. The yearly weather varies between 16°F and 85°F, making it a pleasant place to live year around. Summers are dry and warm, while snow is common between the first of November to the middle of May.

Association Membership

Every homeowner in the Tahoe Donner neighborhood must be a member of the property owner's association. Each person is given the opportunity to choose the tier of membership convenient for them. According to the activities that they wish to participate in during the year.
