The next time you go out on the town, visit a friend to watch the game, head to the beach for a big party, or what have you, think twice before you get behind the wheel following your get together. You may think you’re “okay” to drive, but are you? The costs of a DUI can be life-changing. Naturally, this refers to the monetary aspect of the charge. But it can go much further than that. If you seriously injure someone or, worse yet, are responsible for their death, you will not only face jail time but have to live with the guilt of your actions for the rest of your life. In addition to installation charges, there are also monthly charges. Rather than buying one outright, many people opt for leasing an IID. This could run to approximately $100 a month. Some models come with cameras, GPS trackers, and more.

Second DUI Conviction:
If within 10 years of a first conviction, an adult is convicted of a misdemeanor second offense DUI (with no aggravating circumstances), the penalties can be one or more of the following:
