After twenty years of serving you, it is with regret and sadness that we inform you that Saturday, October 2, 2010, is the last day that The Report Card will be open for business. Like many businesses, The Report Card has been greatly impacted over the past several years by the downturn of the economy and the state budget crisis. These factors have contributed to uncertainty of school finance and a drastic reduction in school purchase orders and teacher spending for school supplies and materials.
You are probably aware that in the past, The Report Card has closed stores in San Rafael, Fairfield, Rancho Cordova, and Elk Grove. Our Citrus Heights store remained open with the hope of being able to continue serving our customers, but the time has come that it is not economically feasible to continue operating the business.
We want to thank you for your support and encouragement over the years. We wish you the best in continuing to provide quality education to your students during these very difficult financial times.
