Why are we different than other dental offices.
It all starts with a caring dentist and a highly qualified team. We start with an interview with the dentist to find out what your concerns might be and if you have any unusual conditions you want us to know about. We want to get to know you and build a relationship with you and your family.
The best way to determine the health of your teeth is by doing a full comprehensive exam. First a full mouth set of x-rays are taken and often digital photos are taken as well. We then examine your mouth, teeth and gums visually after reviewing the x-rays.
We spend time examining your head and neck muscles to see if you have any damage that might be causing headaches or TMJ pain (which is most often muscle related). Your TMJ joints are also examined for irregularities.
If you have the need for more extensive examination of your conditions we often take a plaster model of your teeth and then mount (attach) them to an articulator which is a device that can simulate jaw movement (chewing) so we can study how all your teeth function together to determine if they are in a stable solid bite with each other.
After thorough review of all the data we can provide you with a treatment plan that is unique to you. Often we use the models to start the treatment plan that we are proposing so we can show you what the treatment on your teeth would look like after it has been completed.
Our office is family friendly. Feel free to bring your kids, or your grandparents to visit us. We are happy to take care of your whole family. From simple fillings to a full mouth cosmetic makeover--health teeth and gums are important for everyone.
Another major difference is that we have several Lasers available for a variety of treatment options.
Kavo: can detect small cavities that might not be seen in the x-rays.
Erbium:Yag: can treat cavities often without shots and without the dreaded drill!
Nd:Yag: is for soft tissue and gum disease treatment. Laser Softcare can help avoid future gum surgery. The Laser kills bacteria and disinfects the "gum pockets" around your teeth with little or no pain.
