I promise you I will not accept the status quo, and I will seek other alternatives for the problems that face us. We need to protect our residents and small business owners from future redevelopment dislocation. We need to be assured that future redevelopment projects will proceed with full funding and ample parking. I will work to preserve on-street public parking, and I will work hard to remove any barriers to having year round sidewalks on Highway 50. It will be my goal to transform TRPA into a democratic institution whose Board will be elected by the people of this Basin. We should facilitate the implementation of ADA improvements without concern of land use restrictions. I will always act out of conscience, with the best interest of our citizens at heart. I have the experience and knowledge, as well as the drive, to make local government work for you!

Born in Flushing, New York in 1952 his family moved to California when he was 6 years old. On September 1, 1967 his family settled in Lake Tahoe running their own motel business. Bruce graduated from South Tahoe High in 1970.

He grew up working in the family owned business and Bruce spent much of his time helping to maintain and clean their properties. When attending Sacramento State he used public transportation to get around Sacramento, as well as his weekly trips home to Tahoe. When attending law school in Stockton, Bruce drove back and forth to Tahoe three times a week in his first car, a Dodge Colt.

Bruce has practiced law since 1980, passing the bar exam on his first try. His office has been in the same building, the Star Lake Office Building, since he began his practice.

In 1997 Bruce married Gerri Pointer. Gerri manages a small timeshare property. They live in their home on Gardner Mountain with their German Shepard, Madison. They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren Brady, Caitlin and Aiden. Bruce can also be found at the local swap meet during the summers.
