He is a 1986 graduate from the College of William & Mary. After graduation, Mr. Downing worked as a legislative aide for Representative Solomon Ortiz (D-Texas), then went to Tulane University Law School. After graduating from Tulane in 1990, Downing worked for Carey & Carey in Palo Alto and Lillick & Charles in San Francisco, handling real estate, white collar criminal matters, and products liability defense, before opening his own firm in 1998.

Jordan A. Sussman, who works from the Downing Law Firm’s office in San Francisco, California, is a graduate of Dartmouth College and University of California’s Hastings College of Law, and primarily handles civil litigation matters, including real estate and personal injury matters.
