Business as usual despite threats from Multi-Billion Dollar S.C. Johnson, Inc.

Harvey, IL (Nov. 21, 2022) -- S.C. Johnson & Sons, Inc. (SCJ), one of the world’s leading household cleaning product manufacturers, has over 13,000 employees and annual revenues around  $10.5 billion.

Advanage Diversified Products, Inc. (ADP) markets its proprietary ADVANAGE the Wonder Cleaner® all over the USA, has about ten employees and annual revenues of less than $1 million.

SCJ believes it must “protect its own rights as a competitor of ADVANAGE” because the Advanage company claims ADVANAGE  Wonder Cleaners “outperform competitive offerings, are eco-friendly and safer for the environment.”   

Advanage believes being threatened by SCJ, a company 10,000 times its size is an act of Intimidation.  Advanage knows SCJ  products are OK.  So, they need not be defensive about product leadership.  There is plenty of room in the market for cleaning products from SCJ and those from ADP.

Their memo to ADP warning Advanage about its advertising is ridiculous, outlandish, and totally inaccurate. Their efforts to bully the competition is not in keeping with SCJ’s claims to be a “leader in product transparency and ethical marketing.”

Nathan T.
