The Muktinath Temple or Muktinaheshwar Temple or Muktinath is a highly revered temple in the Hindu-Buddhist faith located in the Muktinath Valley, in the eastern part of Mustang District, Nepal. Shaped like a mandala, it is one of the 108 Devi temples the Goddess Parvati or Shakti is believed to reside. Muktinath Temple is a popular Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Nubra Valley of Leh district. Located at an altitude of 3500 m, Muktinath Temple is revered as an extremely sacred place by both Hindus and Buddhists. Muktinath Temple Yatra is one of 111 temples of Vishnu in north India and south-east Asia founded by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE. The temple is famous for its association with the naturally frozen water body named 'Muktinath Lake' that forms during late winter, early summer when it melts for about three months.

The Muktinath Mandir is a famous pilgrimage site in the NEPAL, regarded as the abode of Lord Vishnu. It is one of the few sites that exist for both Hinduism and Buddhism. Muktinath Temple was described by Mughal Emperor Jahangir and European traveller Johan Alberti and published in his diary. The Muktinath Temple is a terraced temple located at a height of 3,710 m (12,200 ft) above the sea level. It is a three-storied temple with a courtyard. The temple was constructed by King Harsha Vikramaditya in the 12th century AD. Thousands of devotees from all over India visit this place regularly during specific festival days. Muktinath Temple structure has been built keeping in mind to maintain the sanctity of the shrine and to protect it from natural calamities such as avalanches, floods and earthquakes.
