This type of frame style allows the replacement window to be installed into an existing wood framed window or cement block opening. We often use this type of window on the old wood single and double hung window replacements. The new window fits nicely into most existing openings with little trim needed. This allows you to keep the original look of your wood window opening while still having the benefits of new dual glazed windows.
