Our goal at North County Scuba Center is to produce scuba divers that are confident in their abilities, and that think about safety first. Safety, is something we take a lot of pride in. I believe that to be a good scuba diver, you must start with dive safety. The program we offer is SSI (Scuba Schools International), one of the largest international certification programs in the world.
We pride ourselves in the fact, that most of our instructors have obtained their Master Instructor Rating. This in itself, shows the dedication our instructors have to keep learning. I believe, that the SSI programs we offer are the best in the business. Our divers, novice or advanced, will receive cutting edge instruction.
The program starts with the Basic Open Water Diver certification. After receiving your first rating, we encourage our divers to earn their Master Diver Rating. I am very proud to say, "That our instructors have successfully produced hundreds of Master Divers through the SSI system since 1995." As you achieve your ratings, you will receive recognition by SSI, and North County Scuba Center. SSI has a long history of producing some of the worlds best divers. For example: J. Cousteau, and sons (Underwater Explorers), B. Jones (Underwater Engineer, Exxon Corp.), and many others.
The underwater world in San Diego is a spectacular, colorful, and wonderful place to learn how to scuba dive. Here we have a unique opportunity to swim with harbor seals, and the great California Sea Lions of the Pacific. We also have reefs, and kelp beds that are teaming with life. People come from all over the world to dive the San Diego Kelp Forest, which runs from Carlsbad, south to the Mexican boarder. We do our training at La Jolla Shores. This is also a unique dive site because it is a California State Reserve Area. If you are a new diver, I hope that you will join us in your next quest for adventure. If you are already a diver, I hope that you will give us an opportunity to serve you in the future, and further your dive education.
