Burke Family Law supports and is supported by two related projects. The Santa Barbara Divorce Project provides empirical information about divorcing couples in South County Santa Barbara; the protocol used can be applied to any other jurisdiction in the United States. The Santa Barbara Divorce Project makes possible an evidenced-based law and mediation practice, and it provides the raw material for Cholmondeley Productions. Cholmondeley produces online Continuing Education programs that teach lawyers how to practice family law honorably.

Those in the vicinity of their own family law problem need two things - both are hard to find. They are:
Affordable, sound and clean legal advice provided to you from someone who can apply the law to your specific situation, delivered so that you aren't hooked into the legal system merely because you wanted to be informed.
Affordable information provided to you and your spouse about the mediated divorce from an experienced mediator delivered in a way that insures you feel no obligation to engage that mediator or to use the mediation process.
