The Medical Assistant program is designed to give the student knowledge, skills, and techniques needed to function in the medical office or clinic settings. Students receive education for entry-level positions in Administrative Assisting, Clinical Assisting, and general education in anatomy and physiology and other aspects of medical assisting as dictated by this College and the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
Medical Office Specialist
The Medical Office Specialist program prepares graduates for entry-level employment as a medical office billing specialist by providing training in the knowledge, skills, and techniques needed to function in the medical front office, hospital, or medical clinic. Students will learn to set up patient records, computerized practice management, and other functions essential to the medical office environment.
Central Service Instrument Technician (CSIT)
This program will prepare students with the knowledge, skills, ability and experience to work in the fast-paced, dynamic, challenging and highly technical environment of the Central Service department of a healthcare facility. The Central Service Instrument Technician program is designed to introduce the varied processes and procedures needed to handle the latest requirements for sterilization of surgical instruments, equipment and materiel management, distribution, purchasing, inventory control and quality assurance. read more
Licensed Vocational Nursing
The Licensed Vocational Nursing program provides students with the theory, laboratory and clinical experiences that will serve as preparation for an entry-level position in Licensed Vocational Nursing. Nursing theory guides clinical practice. read more
Long known for its relaxation benefits, Massage Therapy is rapidly gaining recognition as an effective adjunct to traditional Western healing modalities such as physical therapy, psychotherapy, occupational therapy, and rehabilitation therapies. This program provides the basic skills and experience needed to launch a career as a Massage Therapist.
