Pneumex Back Program — Beyond Weightlessness
Buoyancy without water: The Pneumex system unweights the body by applying vertical support to patients, lessening weight-bearing stress. This allows for early rehabilitation and healing of injured tissues. The patient can then begin exercise without the stress-induced pain.
The elderly improve balance by recruiting fast twitch muscle fibers and balance reflexes when securely supported and deweighted during weight transfer and functional balance exercises.

Athletes enhance performance with emphasis on correct biomechanics, core strength and correct muscle recruitment patterns, while removing 30% of body weight and moving with ease at increased speeds.

Stronger — Faster — Safer. You see gains as we eliminate weakness to create core strength, flexibility, coordination, weight loss, agility, dynamic balance and self-esteem.

The FAST program incorporates state-of-the-art equipment: the Pneu-Weight Unweighting System for speed training and gait correction; Pneu-Back for core posture strengthening; and Pneu-Vibe for increased muscle activity and performance.

Why train with the FAST Program?
Unweighting allows your body to train beyond your normal limits. The body is capable of moving more quickly as weight or resistance is removed. The body is trained and muscles patterned to work at overspeed.
Core Strengthening: Dynamic functional stability is programmed providing the building blocks for your highest level of performance.
Gait Retraining: Biomechanical assessment and unweighted gait corrections allow us to correct a lifetime of improper movement patterns and potential injuries.

Pneuback: A hydraulic resistance back exerciser, which selectively recruits specific core muscle segments.
Pneu-Vibe: Neuromuscular mechanical stimulation machines are the most advanced and revolutionary training system for sports and rehabilitation. Exercises are performed on vibration exercise equipment, recruiting more muscle fibers with each muscle contraction. Strengthening is accomplished in shorter workout sessions. Specific muscle types can be selectively recruited. Muscles essential for stability are slow-contracting muscles and are exercised at low vibration frequencies. Muscles required for speed, agility and propulsion are fast-contracting muscles and are exercised at high vibration frequencies.
Vibration Therapy: Research has proven vibration therapy improves circulation, muscle power, bone density, hormonal system function, weight loss, neuromuscular and athletic performance.

U.S.News and World Report, Dec.26-Jan. 2006, reports: Pro athletes are hooked on the power plate, a rapidly vibrating platform. They do squats, lunges, push-ups, sit-ups and the like; the idea is that vibration makes you (and your muscles) work harder. Exercise scientist Jeff McBride of Appalachian State University says increased muscle contractions might well improve your fitness.
