So recently there was a news article about a local Sacramento man with a Detecive #27. He brought it into the store way back in 1992. That's right it was 18 years ago. At the time the book was worth around $30,000.00 and we offered him $27,000.00. Some have read this article and not noticed that all of this happened 18 years ago. At the time in 1992 this was more than a fair offer. It was before CGC and eBay existed. It would be shown at shows, in the store or in a mail order through magazines. It may go for $400,000.00 or more, but back then it wasn't worth what it is now. That is true with many things. We thank everyone for their interest in the article and our part in it. We also feel that some believe we didn't offer the man enough. Hopefully this will clear that up.
