Laguna Dance Theatre has been serving Orange County since 1985. LDT is a ballet school with a primary focus on pre-professional training. We also offer ballet, jazz, tap and lyrical for ages 3 and up in a fun and educational atmosphere. LDT is the home of Laguna Ballet, a non-profit company.
LDT is a Vagonova based ballet program offered in a professional environment with a strong emphasis on technique. Graduates of LDT include NYCB principal Miranda Weese, Kristin DAddario Miami City Ballet, Brittany Reid Pacific Northwest Ballet, Shay Lucey at Nevada Ballet Theatre, Veena Goel Miss California and finalist for the Miss America Pageant 2005. Former students have danced with American Ballet Theatre, and we host a number of scholarship students at SAB and ABT in New York. We provide the best dance education for the aspiring professional or for those who simply want to dance for fun, develop discipline, raise self-esteem, and maintain a healthy active lifestyle.

LDT begins with a pre-school program for children ages 3-6 with various levels of creative movement, pre-ballet, tap and jazz. These the beginning building blocks of dance technique and form.

Students continuing with dance for the fun and fitness are given opportunities for fun and recreational classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and pilates. A strong basis of proper dance technique and discipline is taught in a fun and recreational atmosphere.

Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced students are offered a Vagonova based ballet program in a professional environment with a strong emphasis on technique. The curriculum levels I through VI include pointe, technique, variations, Pas de Deux, dance history, pilates reformer/mat class and floor barre. Personal coaching is available for Spotlight, Grand Prix, and Prix de Lausanne competitions.
