Padres Shift Focus on Young Talent for 2011
After just missing the post-season in 2010, the Padres are starting to focus on their home grown talent for 2011. Former Storm starter Cory Luebke is the front runner on a long list of young talent to potentially take over in 2011. Luebke pitched in four games and started three on his way to a 1-1 record with a 4.08 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 17.2 innings pitched.

Padres Bud Black, NL Manager of the Year
In his fourth season at the helm of the Padres, Bud Black was awarded NL Manager of the Year. Black took the Padres within one game of the playoffs in 2010,losing the final game of the season to the eventual World Champion Giants. Over his four year managerial career in San Diego, the former Major League pitcher is 317-332 with two winning seasons(89-74;2007,90-71;2010).

Lezcano Returns for Fifth Season
Carlos Lezcano returns for his fifth season as manager of the Storm and 19th as a Minor League manager. Over the past four seasons, Lezcano compiled a 299-260 record and with his first victory in the 2011 season, he will become the first Storm manager to reach 300 wins.
