The Construction Process can be cumbersome and even traumatic, thus it is important to trust and be at ease with your Contractor. The overall process has been lengthened by neighborhood controls and other issues. Although it is our feeling that by coming here you are automatically in the right place, there may be other services which you still need, such as Entitlement, Architecture or Engineering. We'll be glad to guide you through the basics of each of these processes. Some of them we can perform and for those which you need additional consultation we can make specific recommendations.
Wherever you are in the process, we will help you focus on eliminating the obstacles you can control and to minimze those that you can't. There are certain requirements that all projects must meet, but other requirements vary from one jurisdiction to another. We have experience in many City and County offices and try to stay as up-to-date as possible. Many of the items are basic once you become familiar with them. You will receive an honest assesment from us of where you stand and how long the processes will take. When the process is beyond the scope of our normal services we can develop a special arrangement or guide you to another source.
We consider you a customer as soon as you enter our door, ring our telephone, or click on our web site. Thus, we want to make sure every customer is placed with the proper resources even if they are offered by another firm.
"A maybe doesn't do anyone any good" is a saying that is quite popular around Cal Poly, SLO's Construction Management school. It is a reminder that time is valuable and hesitation is counter-productive. We have adapted it to mean that if we can't say, "yes, we provide that" then we need to find you the people who can. When we do, we are confident you will still consider us when you reach a point where we can help or for a future project within our Scope of Services.
Our initial review process lays the ground work for additional questions that will enevitably need to be answered. Our approach is "turnkey" and our services build upon each other just as a house is built from the foundation up. We will work with most of our customers for months, some for years. Thus, the comfort level and confidence we discussed must be able to endure.
