Established in 1984, Higby's Country Feed has grown with the community, yet remains a family owned and operated business offering every customer individualized service and attention. We know our customers, our products, our distributors, manufacturers and growers, and we know livestock. Our knowledgeable and hard-working staff includes one of our sons, who grew up in the business and has been evaluating hay and livestock products since he was a child. We live on-site, and a family member is always available for consultation and information.

We are known for our customized service. If we don't stock what you need, we'll try to find it and order it for you in the color, size, and quantity you desire. If you require a special type of hay, we'll find a grower who can provide it, if available, and then we'll deliver it and hand-stack it in your barn. If you require custom alterations to a gate or breeding stocks, we'll arrange with the manufacturer to make the changes. If you want to know more about a product or feed --its suitability, availability, popularity, composition -- we'll provide you with the answer.

We are located in Solano County, California, less than a minute from I-80, just east of the California Coast Range in the Sacramento Valley, one of the nation's most productive agricultural regions. From I-80, traveling from the San Francisco Bay Area. take the Hwy 113 South/Currey Road exit at Dixon, cross the freeway heading north. From Sacramento, take the 113 South Exit at Dixon and take the first immediate right turn onto Currey Road (do not cross the overpass), and travel less than one mile north. Our store, barns and pasture are on the east side of the road.

Members of the Community
We're proud participants in and supporters of livestock and equine events in our community, especially those involving young people. Every year we sponsor FFA, 4H, and other events that encourage participation in and continuing development of family farming and ranching.
