Welcome to our website, which we hope will provide the impetus for you to visit us in person and discover why for more than 40 years visitors have said,

Located just outside of Santa Barbara, in Goleta, on a spacious campus at the foothills of the Santa Ynez mountains, Montessori Center School boasts lovely classrooms and outdoor environments, a library and performing arts center, music and art studios, and attractive play areas and gardens. It is convenient to major thoroughfares and to natural and educational resources such as Channel Islands National Park, Los Padres National Forest, colleges, libraries, community gardens, marine science centers and numerous visual and performing arts centers.
We encourage you to visit our campus, observe classes and speak with our staff. We believe you will see a school true to its Montessori roots yet open to contemporary research about how children and schools learn and thrive.

Escrow closed in fall 2008 on 5050 Hollister Avenue.
MCS faculty, staff and parents shared ideas about site development.
MCS held two neighborhood meetings in late February - both meetings were very successful and the neighbors gave some great ideas on how to move forward in the planning process.
MCS is still developing its application for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP). The application has not been submitted and we have no date set for submission.
