The season has changed like the leaves upon the trees outside, but the life at The Californian is as exciting as ever October 15th had everyone in great spirits literally as we celebrated the great German tradition of Oktoberfest. Food, drink and music filled The Californian as friends and family joined in on all the fun, dancing to the sounds of the Polka Stompers and indulging in the delicacies prepared by the Dietary Department.
October 23rd was a wild day to say the least as The Californian hosted the Fall Family Fun Day with a visit from the TROTR petting zoo, Bobby Dazzlers Pumpkin Patch, and the extraordinary Kondor Brothers, a phenomenal juggling act.
The spirit of the season was upon us as the ABC preschool had their annual trick or treat time as residents eagerly awaited to give them a treat on October 29th. Luckily no tricks only treat (and smiles) were given out making it a fun safe Halloween. The same afternoon we enjoyed our Spooktacular Happy Hour, with music by Uh, Oh! The Back Row!!! And a magnificent large array of yummy treats!!!
Have you heard the good news??? The Californian was voted Best in Yolo County for 2010 on October 30th. It is a great honor to know that the people of this great community think so highly of us. It is thanks to the community, residents and employees that make us the best!!! Thank you again for another great year!!!
The Happy Hours are being themed to give our residents more excitementwe have traveled under the sea, to Italy, and gotten even a little spooky Bringing music and food to match!!! Be sure to drop by on Friday afternoons at 3pm to check out all the fun Well, we could go on and onbut we should save a little something for next month, right??? Be sure to come by take a tour or join us for an activitySee ya all next month!!!
