The Frostig Center is dedicated to helping children with learning disabilities. We have a school for students who need our help, we provide teacher education and support to the community of schools and professionals in the greater Los Angeles area, and we research better ways of helping students with learning disabilities.
Our day school for students with learning disabilities (including dyslexia, non-verbal learning disabilities, high functioning autism and ADHD) helps students succeed. Learn more about our day school.
Our research department explores the causes and treatment of learning disabilities. We have looked into the use of assistive technology, explored reading strategies, and identified those attributes that predict success for students with learning disabilities. We are currently looking into the effectiveness of classroom strategies. Find out about our research in helping individuals with learning disabilities.
Our professional development and school consultation department offers help and support to general and special education teachers in public, private and parochial schools. We serve as a resource to the community of professionals who serve individuals with learning problems.
