Held at the Historic Train Depot from 5 to 8 p.m. the tree lighting ceremony welcomes families to sip on some cider, munch on some cookies and sing along with the carolers to traditional holiday songs. Rotary Club of Truckee will have ornaments available for adorning the tree.

December 8 Flying Under the Big Ice: Robotic submarines under Antarctic Ice
From 5 to 8 p.m. join UC Davis researcher Alexander Forrest for a view under the ice in Antarctica. Learn about the unique characteristics of seawater under this ice shelf, the influence on the formation and growth of sea ice within the sound, and the affect on marine biology.

The program features selections from Handel's Messiah along with many holiday favorites. The concert will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Incline Village. The Sierra Nevada College Choir is collaborating with Toccata in this concert, which starts at 2 p.m.

The program features selections from the Messiah along with other holiday favorites. The performance will be held at Squaw Creek Resort in Olympic Valley, CA. The Truckee Tahoe Community Choir will join Toccata for this concert, which starts at 3 p.m.

December 31 Fire Ice New Year's Eve Celebration
