The entire Pardee Lake Recreation Area is noted for its cleanliness and top notch maintenance, as well as, our ongoing improvements. First time visitors nearly always comment on this aspect of our operation. Pardee Lake management and our experienced staff strive to provide visitors with "quality outdoor recreation". Pardee Reservoir Recreation Area first opened to the public in 1958 and is open daily from the first Friday in February through the last Sunday in October each season.
When Pardee first opened, a state law was enacted prohibiting body-water contact. Hence, your fishing or boating experience will not be disturbed by water skiers, jet skis, or lake swimmers. Fishing, boating, camping, picnicking and enjoying the swimming pools are the primary recreational activities. Come see for yourself and join in on the fun. Pardee Lake offers a wide range of recreational opportunities on both land and water.

Weekly plants of 1 to 5 pound Rainbow Trout have produced an excellent cold water fishery. Kokanee Salmon, small and large mouth Bass, Catfish, and various species of sunfish are also found in abundance.
Wildlife abounds within the boundaries of Pardee Lake. Deer, wild Turkey, geese and other migratory birds, squirrels, rabbits, and quail are just a few that hikers, picnickers, and campers will enjoy.
East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD)oversees the operation and maintenance of facilities, determines recreation fees and establishes rules and regulations. The recreation facilities are operated by Pardee Lake Recreation, Inc., a concessionaire under long term contract with EBMUD.
