First, I give you the words by which we define ourselves. Saint James' in the City respects the dignity of every human being. Every. Human. Being. I don't know of words finer than these. They express the loving kindness and open heart that are the essence of what Jesus Christ taught us. But words are without meaning unless we are willing to live them. Does St. James' in the City mean what it says? Come and see for yourself. Enter a high gothic church that is flooded with stained-glass light. In the midst of a modern city, lose yourself in the music and the language of a liturgy that invites you into a truth, ancient and sacred. Look around you. You will see people from all over God's globe, people who feel blessed to be able to celebrate their faith together, in a glorious interweaving of God's rich tapestry of life.
