Sonrise School was founded upon biblical principles and excellence in education. We face this challenge believing that Christ is the answer.

We believe that every parent wants his child to have a quality education on a solid foundation of Christian principles. We believe in high standards of Christian education without compromising.

Our motto is the HOME AND SCHOOL for the betterment of your child. At SS, it is our goal for students to be successful. Success comes from proper balance in the home and school working together for the benefit of the individual child.

Be assured that we will do everything possible to meet the needs of your children, spiritually, academically, and socially in preparation for the future. We need your participation and prayer to do the job. Our administration, faculty, and staff are ready and will endeavor to uphold the highest spiritual and academic standards possible.

The purpose of this handbook is to help you better understand the workings of our school, its philosophy, and its requirements. Please read and study the handbook carefully, keeping it handy for future reference since it will answer most question concerning school policies.

At Sonrise, we believe that the home and school all play a vital role in meeting the total need of a child. It is our firm conviction that proper training begins in the home. The bible teaches that parents are responsible for educating their children. Children should be trained early in life the importance of obeying authority, respecting others, and being responsible.

The responsibility of Sonrise School is to reinforce the Christian principles taught by the home. We want to provide a school that offers an environment and curriculum conducive to effective teaching and learning. We believe in the traditional approach to education. Our purpose is to train our students in the nurture and admonition of the Lord and to provide academic excellence for each student.

At Sonrise School, we seek to put God first and continue daily in His Word and His Teaching. We want to teach our students self-discipline and encourage them to do their best. We seek to instill the underlying principles of obedience, respect, and responsibility that insure success in their futures.

We believe it is the responsibility of the home and the school to work together for the betterment of our students, to help them develop Christian character, and to encourage them as they grow spiritually, mentally, and physically.

Our Teachers are totally committed to Jesus Christ and are called to serve the Lord through the school ministry.
