To provide a highly effective, fun, and life-time enriching musicianship education, for students young and old, is our mission. The instruments for which we provide music education include the piano, string and wind instruments, the Yamaha Electone, and voice.

For young students entering our group lesson program, we strive to be the best in enriching and equipping our students with a gamut of musicianship skills and goals - in the areas of keyboard fundamentals to advanced repertoire, sight reading to ear training, music theory to music arranging, improvision to composition, and more. We do this using the world famous Yamaha Music Education System curriculum, materials, and teaching methods, and requiring that our instructors attend YMES teaching programs regularly and that they pass the several very rigorous YMES certification exams. (And not all candidates can pass the exams and become certified YMES instructors at our studios, even though most candidates come to us with teaching experience and a college music degree or even an advanced music degree.)

For private lesson students, our faculty consists of YMES certified instructors and instrument specialists, to provide the best instructions possible for a focused, individualized study of the piano, a string instrument (such as the violin or guitar), a wind instrument (such as the saxophone or clarinet), the Yamaha Electone, or voice.

Outside the classroom, all our students receive on-stage experience through our private student semester recitals, group class recitals, and our annual end-of-the-school-year June concert. We also regularly host the Los Angeles/Orange County Regional Yamaha Junior Original Concerts and master classes for selected students.
And with our music centers being authorized Yamaha Music Education System schools, many of our students have been invited to partake in national Yamaha concerts and even in international Yamaha concerts, with the student's full travel and lodging expenses paid by Yamaha. Venues for the last several years' national concerts include Phoenix, Minneapolis, and Irvine; and for the international concerts, the site is always in Japan.

However, our efforts in providing a musicianship education for our students are not limited to our classrooms and Yamaha-sponsored concerts. As much as practical, we support community music events (and the occasional arts and dance events) with sometimes modest donations, and at other times with considerable involvement of our time and resources. We do this for many reasons - the formost is to foster special growth opportunities for the participating musicians whether they are our students or not. The PTA, senior citizen groups, and the Philharmonic Society of Orange County are some of the organizations that we regularly support.
With a current and growing enrollment of over 1200 students among our three schools - which includes the 3-year olds who just started our classes, to the high school students who have been with us since they were just 3 or 4 years old themselves, and the adult students - we find it gratifying that our mission, and our execution, are on target, and have been on target in serving our communities since 1981.
We hope you will explore our web pages, call us, visit our schools, and find that one of our programs is just right for growing that budding musicianship in you or in your child.

For all classes except Kindermusik Our Time Music wonderland, and Basic Keyboard, the monthly tuition is based on the student's selection and level of classes, and is a flat monthly charge that is not based on the number of class meetings scheduled for the month. The tuition is based on a 44 lesson-per-year calendar.
For example, in the month of December there are usually only three class meetings for each music course because of the December holidays, whereas there are four or five meetings in March; and for these months and the other months of the school year, the monthly tuition charge is the same.
