Church Family Fellowship Night
Thanksgiving Sunday, November 21st
Service at 11:00am
Thanksgiving Lunch at 2:00pmThis Sunday centers upon the celebration of Thanksgiving. This special
service of praise will honor our great God for all the bounty of blessings
we’ve received through the life and ministry of this church. We will
receive again on this day your can goods and shoeboxes for mission
outreach. This Sunday will be the last time that we receive our WMO
offering for the people of Haiti. Please be present to offer your thanks
to God and be affirmed by a Thanksgiving message from God’s Word.
Then we will gather together in Calhoun Hall to enjoy a delicious
Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. We will be enriched by a
focus time upon the true meaning of the season of Thanksgiving.
Following our devotional time we will conduct our Business Meeting to
approve the 2011 Church Budget and Elders.
First Sunday of Advent, November 28 at 11:00amThis Sunday begins our Advent celebration, preparing to greet the Christ-
child once again at Christmas time. The theme of Advent this year is
entitled, “Where Heaven Touches Earth.” Practical messages from God’
s Word will highlight the Hope, Peace, Joy and Love of Christmas. Along
with our Advent Sundays will be our Christmas Eve Service on
December 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
Church Family Fellowship, Night December 11We will be meeting at 5:00 at a local restaurant then going to the Norris
Theater to see “An Irish Christmas”. Tickets will be $30.00. Please see

tempted to quit and to ask, “What’s the use?” As
problems and roadblocks mount, as faith seems
unproductive, we find it easy to think about quitting our
personal faith-race. But a strong faith that enables us to
stay in the faith-race grows out of a firm grasp of who
Jesus Christ really represents in out lives of faith.
