Aikido Institute of America 2615 Colorado Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90041
The Aikido Institute of America (AIA) was established in 1970 by the late Roderick Kobayashi as the world headquarters for Seidokan Aikido.
Aikido is a defensive art emphasizing balance, grace and harmony. Aikido is different from most martial arts in that Aikido uses the energy of the attacker to defend one's self from harm. And as the worldwide headquarters for Seidokan Aikido, the Aikido Institute of America is uniquely qualified to provide the most rounded Aikido training possible. The curriculum of the Aikido Institute of America is geared towards both teaching Aikido to beginners and towards developing Aikido instructors.
Aikido Classes for all levels for adults and children are held daily. Please do not hesitate to visit if you are in the area. Guests are always welcome in our dojo to ask questions or simply to watch us practice!
For more history about Seidokan Aikido as well as AIA, please see the Seidokan Aikido Website at http://www.seidokan.org.
