The Cal Sports Clubis the parent company of therenowned California Fencing Academy (est 1986), Cal Equestrians (est2004), Cal Archers (est 2009), the Optimum Health & Fitness Center(est 1994), and The Competitive Edge (est 1989)which istheprivate sports care practice of the club Founder, President and Head Coach Maitre d'ArmesDaniel Tibbetts CPT, CSMT, NCMTB.

Daniel runs the clubalong sidehis wife Ania Tibbetts who is the CSCInc Secretary and Women's Foil Director, along withindividualcoordinators of the various programs and activities, and a professional staff of full and part time coaches, trainers, teachers, and therapists.

The longtime idea of the CSC founderwas to offer ModernOlympicSports, Rennaissance activities, and outdoor adventures which have been his lifetimespassion all underone banner. By doing thiswe would be able to cater to families - not just one member of the family. For exampleteenager Joe can be an international fencer while little brother Jake and daddo Archery at the same time, and sister Jane gets to jump and ride horses, all while mom gets a massage or takes a fitness class. Perhaps after a while little Jake wants to try something new besides archery so we have other activities for him. We are now truly a family focused sport club offering some of the best training in each sport available in Californiaand theUSA - with some extra services to boot.

With our new 12,000 square foot facility,awesome sport instructors, and health a fitness professionalswe are able to do all this without imposing onour US and International reputation forgreat athletic care, program growth, and competitive results. In fact we are now even better prepared than ever to maintain and even improve our thrust forward to fullfill the goals and dreams of our athletes and coaches.

Our comprehensive Cal Sports Club website is under construction so currently we have most of our activity information on our newly developed fencing site as seen here - which also is having more info added weekly. CLASSES & CAMPS:

Our start-up CLASSES and CAMPS will introduce you to this awesome sport in a three class session, or in a day camp.Fencing develops both physical and mental fitness, teach self-discipline, build character, and instills sportsmanship skills. fencing is for all ages of boys, girls, men and women.You learn about safety, and the rules of the sport, some history, the basic language, footwork, offense, and defense actions and counteractions, as well as fun sparring each day of class. On Saturdays we offer all the age group introductory and continuingclasses at the same time so it is easy for the whole family to give it a try.When you completethe introductory level-1class youare awardeda certificate of completion. All the equipment is supplied for introductory classes up through intermediate levels!

When you completethe introductory class you are ready to join our level-2 beginning program with classes available most days of the week and at various convenient times. Then youmove to novice level-3 andonto intermediate level-4, and then the local team if you desire. We have a pre-national and national program as well and are one of the top national level clubs in the country with national Champions in all age groups.

Boys and girls are all welcome from beginners to elite athletes. Our goal is to provide the best program and facility available and to offer a safe, fun, and rewarding experience for all archers!
We offer a 3-class start-up program just like our other sports, a year round program for all levels, team and certified US Junior Olympic training program (JOAD), school programs, b-day parties, scouts, YMCA, corporate programs, and camps. We also train and certify archery instructors through the US credentialing program.
