Come to Tal-y-Tara and experience a unique marriage between tea and equestrian cultures. With an old world ambience in the New World spirit, you are surrounded with antique furnishings and the warmth and hospitality that only San Francisco can provide.
Our menu offers an eclectic variety of teas for all tastes: green, black, red, white, fruit and herbal. A turn-of-the -century specialty bread forms the basis of the world-famous Motorloaf, our unique variety of tea sandwiches that are perfect for taking with you when you go 'motoring.' Scones and English Trifle are also from the family treasure hold of secret recipes.
The tea room comfortably seats 20 around several cozy tables. Customers have the choice of sitting on love-seats, chairs or antique benches resembling horse-drawn carriages. An outdoor 'secret garden' will seat an additional 25 around circular tables. Perfect for tea-time, Tal-y-Tara is open 12pm - 7pm, Monday through Saturday. Birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers and children's tea parties are delightful to have at the shop.
