Offers her Approach to Hatha Flow
“Although titled ‘Hatha Flow’ currently, my classes tend to be more ‘Vinyasa’ in style. Like Hatha Flow, my classes incorporate sun salutations, standing, balancing, seated and even inversion postures. However, much more attention is paid to the transitions between postures; more sun salutations/vinyasas are used between posture sequences and within
sequences. I think of the practice as a moving meditation ‘dance’ in which each movement is choreographed in an effort to continuously build internal heat and prepare for the next posture. Postures are generally held for about the same amount of breaths. Attention to bhandas and breath are stressed throughout so there is rarely an interruption regarding bhandas and breath during the 90 minute practice.”
