Baker Art Foundry was established in 1969 by Gerry Baker. Gerry Baker died in 1998 still working at Baker Art Foundry at the age of 87.
Gerry had had many years experience in other foundries before he founded Baker Art Foundry. Gerry invented quite a few casting processes that are still in use today.
When Gerry died in 1998, his partner George Kysor, who had worked side by side with Gerry for over 20 years took over the foundry and uses many of the unique pewter custom casting techniques that he learned from his mentor, Gerry Baker.
Baker Art Foundry is celebrating its 41st year in business. We are a custom pewter casting facility and the foundry is located in Northern California.
George Kysor is the master mold maker, and his 30 years experience has given him the edge on developing new processes in his technique. George prides himself on the complexity of the molds he can make to achieve the designers dream.
Our foundry casts only in lead free pewter, but we have multiple finishes that are available. Our pewter finishes consist of a pewter satin finish and a pewter shiny finish. Our plated finishes consist of: gold, silver, bronze, brass, nickel, and chrome.
We do casting for corporations, galleries, artists, and craftsman as well as our own line of pewter gift items.
There is no job too small for our foundry, and all jobs are treated with the utmost care given to the finished product.
