Welcome to Piedmont Chiropractic. My name is Bruce Del Fante, D.C., and I have owned my business since 1986. I sincerely hope you will consider utilizing my chiropractic services for your particular health care needs. I know there are many chiropractors to choose from, but I believe you will be genuinely impressed with my chiropractic abilities. My promise to you is that I will be attentive and offer you 100 percent of my time and energy when I am treating you.
My office is located at 3800 Piedmont Avenue in Oakland; and I conveniently offer validated parking for my patients. I primarily treat spinal and extremity problems in my practice. I believe a good chiropractor needs to evaluate the patient's whole body when performing an examination. As a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (C.C.S.P.), I am well qualified to do just that. I utilize a state of the art foot scanner in my practice. This machine will scan my patient's feet and allow me to evaluate them for a myriad of foot problems. I evaluate most of my patient's feet when performing the initial examination. It is widely believed that certain foot problems, like pronation, or flat feet, can lead to a number of health related issues. I correct my patient's foot problems with custom fitted orthotics.
I use physical therapy in my office. I believe the use of physical therapy is a great adjunct to aiding in a complete treatment for the patient. Below are the physical therapy modalities used in my office:

These modalities all offer a wide variety of benefits for my patients. I also employ a massage therapist in my office. Many of my patients take advantage of a relaxing and theraputic 1/2 hour massage prior to their chiropractic adjustment. My office is equipped with a Cox Flexion-Distraction table. This special table is designed to treat herniated discs, primarily in the lumbar spine. I will also utilize this table with my patients who cannot tolerate a normal chiropractic adjustment. However, the most important part of my practice is performing spinal manipulation to restore normal bony alignment, loosen-up tight joints, and provide for a much improved range of motion. This is my speciality. This is what sets me apart from many other chiropractors -- I truly believe I am very proficient in the art of spinal manipulation.

If you do have chiropractic coverage, then you may only have a small co-pay to meet for treatment. I am happy to treat individuals who have suffered an auto accident or an on-the-job injury on a lien basis.
