UCSF Fresnos Joan L. Voris, MD, associate dean, and Tanya Warwick, MD, associate clinical professor, were recently selected among the 2010 Top 10 Professional Women. The awards are sponsored annually by the Marjaree Mason Center in Fresno.
Dr. Voris was recognized for her many contributions, including her leadership role in training future physicians and for her efforts to provide and ensure access to quality health care for everyone regardless of status in life.
Dr. Warwick was selected in part for her role in helping to develop the first certified stroke center in the Valley and for her ongoing commitment to increasing awareness of stroke and its warning signs.
The Marjaree Mason Center is a non-profit organization in Fresno that serves victims of domestic violence and their children. The center has honored women who are leaders in their field and who generously give back to the community since 1983.
