Doughboys Surplus Bazaar is a family business started in 1947. Weve been on this very same block in Bellflower for all these many years. Of course, where we began as an Army Surplus store that primarily sold military clothes, field gear, Levis ($3.00 a pair) and work boots, we have evolved with the times and the nature of the neighborhood.
No longer do we have a line of people waiting for us to open so that they could buy their rubber boots to get back to work on all the dairy farms that once surrounded us in Lakewood and Cerritos. We still sell those boots but we are now known more for being the one stop shopping spot for everything Dickies: Mens, Womens and Kids school and work uniforms and casual wear-pants, shirts and shorts. We also carry the most complete line of Carhartt work clothes in Southern California. Including fire resistant clothing.
As for footwear, we stock 34 different styles of Wolverine shoes and boots alone. In our shoe department you can find Cat, Chippewa, Georgia Boots, Carolina, Rocky, Harley, Converse, Work Zone and a very good selection of Ugg boots.
In the world of camping we feature all those incidental items that make camping easier and more fun. We also have first aid and earthquake preparedness supplies. Plus we carry cold weather clothing - year round.
