HeyDay Cafe - Dining in Historic Placerville

Heyday is a small family-owned-and-operated restaurant established in January 2007, in the gold rush era town of Placerville, California. Our aim is to provide a relaxed, friendly gathering place for locals as well as visitors to our foothill community.
Stop by for fresh food, a selection from our extensive wine list and good conversation. Check our website frequently for menu and wine updates. We serve lunch and dinner and in between.

Our hours are Wednesday - Thursday: 11 am to 9 pm, Friday - Saturday: 11 am to 10 pm, Sunday: 11 am to 8 pm, Monday and Tuesday-- Closed.
We gladly accept reservations, please call during normal business hours.

You will find us with an easy exit just off hwy 50 in historic downtown Placerville, about 45 minutes east of Sacramento and 75 minutes (give or take) west of Lake Tahoe.

MONTHLY, Third Saturday, Placerville Art Walk: 5PM to 9PM. Historic Downtown Placerville. Main Street galleries and merchants host changing art shows and late night shopping every third Saturday of the month.

OCTOBER 16th, Art & Wine Festival: 6PM to 9PM
OCTOBER 31st, Trick or Treat on Main Street: 4PM to 6PM
NOVEMBER 26th, Festival of Lights: 5:30 to 8PM on Historic Main Street in Placerville.
DECEMBER 5th, 33rd Annual Christmas Parade: 1PM

Placerville is a charming California gold rush town named after the placer gold deposits found in its river beds and hills in the late 1840's. The City of Placerville is centrally located between Sacramento, the State capitol, and South Lake Tahoe, world-famous recreation center. Situated above the fog line and below the snow line, Placerville boasts an ideal climate with four distinct seasons.

Accessibility to Placerville is via State Highway 49 and U.S. Highway 50, along one of the most traveled corridors in California. Placervilles treasured heritage is reflected in the historical, nineteenth century architecture of its downtown core. In addition, Placerville is the County seat and the center of financial, commercial, civic, and government activity.
