WELCOME TO NORTH VALLEY CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS
Whether you are currently part of our school family, or are interested in finding out about NVCS for the first time, we hope this website will be helpful to you. We have included basic information about our history, our perspectives and goals, and our programs. Some of our faculty will use this site to communicate classroom plans and assignments. We will also provide articles, resources, and links that we hope will minister to you as a member of the body of Christ.
One link you may want to check out is YOUR HOPE Radio, a weekly teaching ministry that NVCS is helping to sponsor featuring Pastor Matthew Raley.
Oak Tree Christian School is a private Christian school located in Orland, California, and along with Providence Christian High School is part of North Valley Christian Schools. Oak Tree serves families with students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade.
OTCS exists by the provision of God through the prayer and efforts of families and individuals over the past 20 years. In 2001, the vision to start a Christian elementary school in the area was realized. Classes began at Grace Reformed Church in Willows, California in the fall of that year. 21 students "crowded" the halls. Enrollment has grown to over 60 Oak Tree students since then, and continuing growth is anticipated.
By the 2004-05 school year, God had provided a 19-acre campus in Orland with existing buildings that could be remodeled for use as a school. Providence Christian High School joined the campus for the 2005-2006 school year.
Providence Christian High School is a private Christian school located in Orland, California. Together with Oak Tree Christian School, Providence is part of North Valley Christian Schools. Providence serves families in Glenn, Tehama, and Butte Counties with students in grades nine through twelve.
Providence was founded in 2000 by parents who saw the need for a Christian High School to serve the needs of Christian families in the area. Founding Board members Eugene and Laurel Cleek, Erick and Margie Nielsen, and Chris and Lori Verboom sought to establish an educational environment that would not only be academically rigorous, but spiritually nourishing.
Providence alumni have already distinguished themselves as university graduates, medical school students, high school and elementary school teachers, members of the U.S.Navy, and college athletes.
