Program ObjectiveThe paralegal profession is very diversified. There are many areas of law within which to work, such as family law, probate, real estate, personal injury, etc.
Within each area of law there are a variety of duties that one may pursue depending upon the individual's preference and the needs of the attorney employing the paralegal. Some of these duties include research, client intake, preparation of briefs, points and authorities, complaints and other creative documents, and law office billing. The list goes on to include anything an attorney does, except giving legal advice and appearing in court. To provide even another choice, the paralegal can choose to work independently as a legal document assistant (being very careful not to extend into areas that are beyond the legal paralegal scope) or directly for the attorney. There are many employment opportunities that require this type of training that use a different occupational title.
Employment is as individual as each person pursuing it. This school has a goal to aid each and every student in obtaining their personal goal for employment. We discuss job opportunities regularly in order to obtain knowledge regarding job availability, areas of law, duties required, experience required and salary range to enable the paralegal to obtain their employment goal.
A student cannot fail they can only stop trying. As long as a student is willing to pursue the task at hand, whether it is a homework assignment, passing a test or obtaining employment, the school is willing to help.
