Join us Sundays at 10 a.m. for our family-friendly worship service. Our worship tradition includes classic hymns and choral music. Children are invited for a special message of their own at the chancel steps and are then ushered to their Sunday school classes.
a community worshiping, growing, and serving together
If you are looking for...
a community where you can celebrate and enjoy God's faithfulness
a place where you can "put down roots": belong, learn, grow, bear fruit and share it with loved ones
an opportunity to serve as Jesus served, to give back to neighbors and the world
...we invite you to join us.
Each week we stand and say what we believe. Have you ever said to yourself, Do I really believe this? Or, Why do we believe this? Or, Do I have to believe this to be a Christian? If so, your mind and heart will be energized by Faith Enrichment: What Do You Really Believe.
Starting on Sunday, September 19 and running for ten weeks in South Parlor from 11:30 to 12:30 the Christian Life Formation Committee presents discussion sessions on the main articles of our faith. The germ for these gatherings came in a sermon by Ann Mills when she mentioned a book, A Faith of Your Own: Naming What You Really Believe, by Ronald J. Allen, a professor of Preaching and New Testament at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis. Ron Schooler bought the book and found it enriching and thought provoking. He will be facilitating the sessions. If you would like to be provided with child care, please let Becca know.
In our time together we will not be deciding on the true beliefs everyone should have. We will be looking at the various ways Christians have understood their faith. It is up to each person to think and contemplate about how he or she fits into the mosaic of Christian beliefs. Being able to bounce off of each other our affirmations, our doubts, and our concerns about the tenants of our faith will help each of us own what we believe.
