We roast our own coffee daily, ensuring quality and freshness. We have gained awards for our coffee, as well as accolades from such coffee notables as Kenneth Davids, coffee guru, authority, and author of several books on the subject of coffee.

The Muddy Waters Coffee Company is operated and owned by master roaster Chris Nichols. Chris moved to Arcata in 1998 from Redwood City, CA to study art at Humboldt State University.While studying at H.S.U. Chris began his emplo yment at Muddy Waters Cafe in 1999 as a barista.... Click for more
