We provide totes and empty them on a schedule or at your convenience.

What can you recycle at curbside?

Welcome! The Arcata Community Recycling Center is committed to providing Arcata and the Humboldt Bay area with cost-effective means to reduce, reuse and recycle waste produced in Humboldt County.
Our Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM) in Arcata accepts materials that can't be recycled curbside. We will continue to offer drop-off recycling of mixed papers and mixed containers until universal curbside recycling services are implemented. We charge a $5 facility usage fee to offset our costs of providing this service to you. The Eureka Recycling Center will continue to offer drop off of mixed papers and mixed containers at no charge.
We also offer office paper and cardboard pick-up for businesses, education programs and community outreach services for schools and other organizations, and operate the popular Reusables Depot, which offers a wide variety of household goods and building materials.
For help with specific recycling questions, please contact Patti Johnson at 445-4321. For comprehensive information on recycling at this and other recycling centers in Humboldt County, please visit www.humboldtrecycling.org.
