VERY IMPORTANT!!! Parking at Primal is super annoying.
We know this. 4 years ago Humboldt County decided to put in a bike lane on Myrtle and did so by removing parking that has been available for over 30 years. Now bike lanes are important and it is what it is. BUT the curbs are not painted red! And the no parking signs are facing outward not towards traffic.We at Primal painted our curb red with permission from the county to try and help a little, but it's still not easy to figure out. So where do you park? Across the street from us is a bike lane and parking. Also feel free to park in our driveway. Try and park in a way that leaves room for others but please use and abuse our driveway.

Since 1995, Primal has been a dedicated and well-respected body art studio on the North Coast.
We are the only shop in Humboldt with members of the
Association of Professional Piercers.

I poke the holes around here.
Primal, however, is a multi-faceted shop and we have a great staff.
We have a new shop assistants!
Courtney and Jessie !
They both have extensive portfolios to check out.
If you are looking for that next piece of great body jewelry, nobody in Humboldt (and dare I say this side of San Francisco) can beat our selection.
If we do not have it, we can get it.
We carry all the high end brands:
and many more (we don't want to give away all our secrets)
We carry gorgeous organics: opalite, tiger's eye, exotic woods, mother of pearl, jade, chrysophase, agate, quartz, butterfly wing plugs, bone, horn...honestly too much to list.
