INTRODUCTION

BLENDING CULINARY motifs from Indian, Chinese, Malay and Thai Cuisines, the food of Singapore is anything but timid. Lemon grass, peanut sauce, sweet basil, curry, ginger, fresh fruit and chilies all massage an exotic array of fresh fish, spiced meat and succulent noodle specialties in a regional gastronomy pioneered in the Bay Area 20 years ago by chef Chris Yeo. Straits Café is located at the busy corner of El Camino Real and Lambert Street, between Stanford and the gateway to Silicon Valley in Palo Alto.
It's warm ambience with lots of wood and rustic heartwood cabinetry makes up the main dining room's decor. A spacious covered patio with a rustic looking waterfall gives off a Balinese garden feel to it and affords all-season dining. Straits Café offer a spacious partitioned dining room and one of the largest covered and heated patio in the area, to cater to your banqueting needs.
The menu and presentation is powerful at Straits Café, from the variety of spices and herb used to the beautiful garnished plates. With all time customer favorites like the fluffy and crispy Roti Prata with the ever delicious curry dipping sauce or the sensational Origami Seabass, which is a seafood masterpiece. The cocktails are also not to be forgotten, the crowd favorite "Ginger Drop" made with our own house infused ginger vodka and ginger syrup, and our award winning strawberry "Mojito" are a big hit with our customers. This distinction is the cumulation of 11 months of hard work, both by the entire staff at Straits, our Green consultant and all the different government agencies that have assisted us and encuraged us. We are proud to say that the effort has not only taught us to become a better corporate citizen, but also substantially reduced our energy?as well as our?waste disposal costs.
