Japan Landscapingwas incorporated in 1970, but our roots go back to the early 1960s. The father of the current owners started the company as Japan Gardening Services. Working out of his garage, with his wife doing the bookkeeping, he slowly built a loyal client base while studying for his contractors' license exam.

Today, JLIis still family owned and operated. Although the original founder has retired, his three children now run the business, and we still get occasional bookkeeping help from mom.

Over the years, JLIhas always maintained the same commitment to quality that built our original client base. However, our services have expanded greatly. As our name suggests, we began as a company specializing in Japanese gardens. Since then, we have incorporated more and more different styles of landscaping into our designs, from lush tropical greenery to formal English topiaries and drought-tolerant xeriscapes.
