Milepost 38 Model Trains emphasizes fun.
The vast array of model electric trains and accessories at Milepost 38 Model Trains is only part of the Milepost 38 story.
"We want to focus on the fun part," says Jerry Keys, who owns the model train store with his wife, Cheryl, also a model train enthusiast. "We want to help everyone have fun with the hobby."
The fun can be a father showing his son or daughter a Lionel Model Train like the one he had as a child and then when they agree on a new Lionel.
Fun is when a serious model trains hobbyist looks at the latest digital throttle from Digitrax or digital sound decoder from Soundtraxx.
Even children's favorite, Thomas the Tank Engine, has entered the digital age. The store's large children's section includes toy model trains with digital sounds and voices from the major characters in Thomas.
Young children are encouraged to discover the joy of reading, thanks to the large number of Thomas books and other selections in the children's section.
Godzilla and King Kong are also part of the fun for Jerry Keys and the staff at the model train store, adding whimsy to two of the store's working model train layouts. Godzilla is about to step on the tracks in one layout, and King Kong is sitting on a building in another.
Milepost 38 offers all gauges. And Lionel, Athearn, Atlas, Bachmann, Kadee, Kato and LGB are just a few of the product lines featured at Milepost 38. The store also has books and magazines, kits, buildings and other accessories.

Conveniently located just off the 91 fwy at Imperial Hwy, on the northeast corner of La Palma and Imperial in the Canyon Village shopping center.
