Missions food project. Interfaith Community Services is asking for help from the local churches to fill the needs of the community during theeconomic crisis. If you can help, here is a list of the items requested.Non perishable food items: macaroni & cheese or dry pasta or ricemixes, canned or dry soups and meals, peanut butter,jelly,dried beans, rice, canned meat, baby food & formulas. Food may bebrought to the Church and deposited in the barrel in the Narthex or taken directly to Interfaith at the corner of Quince at Washington in Escondido.Thanks for helping our neighbors in need!

World Communion Sunday is October 3 and will be celebrated with the Korean Congregation. All are welcome!
October7 at 6:00 pm Worship committee will meet and at 7:00 pm Finance committee will meet at the church.
October 12 at 2:15 the Welcome/Care Team will meet at the church.
October14 at 10:00 am the Ladies Love Circle will meet at the church.
The LAST two Sundays inSeptember and continuing into October at 6:30 PM at the church,Adult Bible Study will meet in the Fellowship Hallwith Pastor Dave Walker teaching. Study will be on 1 Peter.
Wednesday'sat 9:00 AMexcept the 6th and the 13th ofOctober there will beBible Studyatthe church.
Bell Ringers: Every Wednesdaywill meet for practice from 3:00 to 5:00 PMin the Sanctuary. If you can read music and would like to learn to play handbells, come to the church on any Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 PM.
October 16 at 9:30 am the Craft Group will meet in the Fellowship Hall.
October 17 isLaity Sunday ! Guest speakers will be Merry Williams and Charlie Gragg. Bring a friend or neighbor.
October 17 at 5:00 pm is Haitian Night with dinner and a Haitian Gospel group. Speakersare Dr. Ray Aller and Rev. Lynne Austin.
October 21 at 6:00 pm theSPRC will meet and at 7:00 the Church Council will meet.
October 26 at 5:45 am is our turn to serve at Interfaith's Soup Kitchen on Quince at Washington in Escondido. All are welcome to come and help!
9:45 am Prayer Ministry in the Prayer Room
10:00 am Worship and Children's time. Our hall serves as a "cry room" with sound.
Our prayers are with the soldiers and civilians who continue to face danger in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other dangerous posts across the world. Pray for those who have lost loved ones on all sides, and that the Prince of Peace may lead us to a just and lasting peace in the Middle Eastand around the world.
Prayer Room: The Prayer Room off the sanctuary is open weekdays during office hours (Tue-Thu 7:30-5:00) for anyone who wishes to come in and pray. No key necessary- come and stay as long as you like. There is a notebook for prayer requests and reports to be shared.
