Café catering was officially established in 2002, but the owner began catering back in 1998 from a small Café that used to be located here in San Marcos, from 1997-2002, hence the name, Café Catering. Combined, we have done over 5000 caterings and have a large amount of repeat and “word of mouth” business, which keeps our advertising costs down, ultimately saving our customers money…
We have catered everything from small drop off breakfasts, to large formal, plated events for hundreds of people, and everything in between. Please take time to look carefully through the website, as there is quite a bit of valuable information to help you plan your event.

Please keep in mind that we can usually handle special menu requests, so please let us know if there is something you are looking for and can’t find, chances are we may have done it for someone else, there just simply isn’t room to list everything we have done, such as theme parties, ethnic foods, etc.
Again, please take some time in looking at the various sections of the website, we have tried to anticipate as many of your needs as possible, but since every event is unique, please feel free to contact us with your questions or concerns.
We try to be as accurate as we can with our prices, but please realize that special circumstances may require additional fees. These will be discussed with you up front and there will never be any “surprise” charges on your final bill… Also we are one of the few caterers that does not include a “service charge” on top of the regular price that sometimes can be as high as 18-20%. Do they ever mention what this is for? Can you imagine buying a new car and then having to pay an extra 20% to actually be able to drive it? A large enough catering can be almost as expensive as a car, so that can add up quick!!
We also never include mandatory gratuities, because we feel that should be at your discretion.
If you take the time to really work with the website you can get a pretty darn accurate idea of what your costs will be with us. We are proud to be one of the few caterers that actually publish their prices instead of trying to make a guess at much the customer can afford, and then offering “discounts.” We’d rather publish a fair price and give you the best value we can for that price. We do realize that these days absolutely EVERYONE is on a budget, so sometimes it’s helpful to know that budget going in, and we can offer you some options that will work within your comfort range.
