Welcome to Ventura Center for Spiritual Living, an affiliate of the United Centers of Spiritual Living. We are delighted that your spiritual journey brought you to our website.
We teach the philosophy of Science of Mind and Spirit, a New Thought philosophy. Simply described, this philosophy teaches that we are part of the creative process of life. Our beliefs and attitudes create our experiences. We can choose to consciously create a better life for ourselves. The only thing against us in this life is ourselves. We awaken to the possibilities of life when we realize that there is nothing against us and everything is for our highest good. We teach people how to be the way of God, vs. in the way of God. Our philosophy is based on the writings of Dr. Ernest Holmes, a pioneer in metaphysical teachings. Today, many of the same concepts expressed by Dr. Holmes are receiving widespread exposure through the writings of Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson and others.
