Santa Cruz Adult School Goals
The staff of Santa Cruz Adult School is committed to academic excellence and the development of the whole student as a productive citizen and worker, effective family member and life long learner.
At graduation, or completion of one’s Adult School program, the student will be a...
PROBLEM SOLVER who has the ability to think critically, to set goals and to reassess them, to strategize and make sound decisions, and to be a self-starter.
COMMUNICATOR who has mastered basic skills and is competent in expressing oneself clearly in both written and oral language, who can listen, share ideas, and mentor others, and who has developed leadership skills.
CREATIVE INDIVIDUAL who has a confident and positive self-image and seeks to develop one’s unique untapped gifts, talents and interests.
PRODUCTIVE CITIZEN who has respect for self and others, who is a team player, who understands and takes responsibility for one’s role in the family, the local community and beyond to the larger national and global community, and who is socially and environmentally aware and proactive.
LIFE LONG LEARNER who stays current with technology and ever changing new information, who has learned how to learn and to adapt to change, and who can access resources for further growth.
