Our philosophy is to practice the best preventive care medicine. We believe strongly that an annual exam helps us to identify potential health problems before they progress. We provide this in a supportive and caring environment that understands the special bond between people and their pet companions.

We believe that our business is the care of your pet. We understand that your concerns are important and we will never be too busy to fully answer your questions. We know how busy everyone is and that your time is valuable. Our appointments are on time and we also offer early drop off times to make veterinarian visits less stressful and expeditious for you and your pet.

We believe that pet companions are a vital part of life's enjoyment. Our entire staff is a caring group with pets of their own. Outside of our work, we participate in Project Wildlife, the Feral Cat Coalition and Operation H.O.W.L. We believe that people and animals both benefit from each other. Our clients, their pet companions, and our staff will strive to work together as a team for the benefit or your pet.

We are a traditional neighborhood veterinary hospital with a state of the art facility and medicine. Our goal is not to be an oversized, multi-doctor or corporate practice. We want to know each and everyone of our clients and their pet companions by their names and not by a number.

Our entire staff is dedicated to providing each individual patient with personalized professional care in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. All staff members are caring, responsible and determined to give you and the very best in dedicated care.

Our veterinarian, Michalena Satowski, DVM has twenty years of practice and is an honors graduate from the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of California - Davis. She has a Bachelor's degree in Biology and has completed work for a Master's degree in Zoology.

Dr. Satowski has done veterinary work for the Chaffee Zoo in Fresno, California and at an animal rescue station in Fresno County.

Dr. Satowski and her husband, John, an architect, founded Companion Care. They both have a love of animals. The Companion Care logo of Sam, the dog, Jennifer, the cat and Brie, the rabbit are in remembrance of the cherished pets.

We are located in the San Diego community of Rancho Bernardo. Take 15 north to Bernardo Center Drive exit, turn right at the light. We are located on the west side of the street.
